Country Idol with WKLB 102.5

The event, sponsored by local Boston country radio station WKLB, 102.5 FM and Sanctum Sound was held at the Charlie Horse Saloon in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. This American Idol style contest had contestants performing in front of four judges, including Sanctum Sound Studio Manager Jon Schmidt and top twelve American Idol contestant Nick Pedro, who tallied up each singer’s score based on ability and crowd response. The event was hosted by DJ Steve Kelley, and featured thirteen contestants who performed cover songs backed by karaoke music. The winner, Sabrina Ryan, gets a trip to Nashville and studio time at Sanctum Sound’s Recording Studio in Boston.
